Fiat Yamaha Team Launch

During a presentation in Italy on Monday, Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd announced that it has reached a two-year agreement with Fiat Automobiles S.p.A. to become title sponsor of the Yamaha Factory Racing Team in the MotoGP World Championship.

The Team’s Official Launch took place in Milan on Monday afternoon and the Team will be known from now on as the “Fiat Yamaha Team”. Yamaha’s two Factory riders, Italian Valentino Rossi and American Colin Edwards were present at the event, as well as Yamaha Motor Company’s Masao Furusawa, General Manager for Engineering Operations, Lin Jarvis, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing and Davide Brivio, the Fiat Yamaha Team Director.

The MotoGP season starts this weekend at Qatar. With all the technical changes this season may turn out to be the best yet!

Yamaha supply JogRR for MotoGP

Yamaha will continue to be the official scooter supplier of the MotoGP World Championship after extending their agreement with series promoter Dorna for another two seasons.

In addition to providing officials and guests of the MotoGP World Championship with practical and stylish transport within the paddock for the next two years, Yamaha have also secured the rights to produce and sell production replicas of the licensed MotoGP scooter at all Yamaha dealers across Europe.

Suzuki GSX-R1000K7 Wins on Debut

Max Biaggi leads the World Superbike Championship after the Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra rider raced to a victory and second place in Saturday's opening round in Losail, Qatar.

The Italian won the opening 18-lap race from James Toseland (Honda) then finished second to the Briton in race two, which puts them equal on 45 points. His team mate Yukio Kagayama had front tyre problems in the race, but managed to finish fourth.

Race two was another terrific battle between Biaggi and Toseland, but this time Toseland emerged the victor with Troy Corser (Yamaha) third and Kagayama 6th.

Suzuki GSX-R1000 K7 Launch 24th February 2007

The new model GSX-R 1000 K7 was successfully launched on Saturday in front of a packed showroom, full of specially invited customers.

Above is a photo of David Hubbard, who will shortly be the proud owner of a new GSX-R 1000 K7 in Black after placing an order on the day.

£106 was raised on the day from a John Pease Motorcycles raffle that took place. All proceeds will go to the Essex Air Ambulance. The winner of the Shoei helmet was Mr Peter Orton from Dunmow, Essex. The winner of the Essex Advanced Motorcyclists Group one to one training day was Mr David O'Flynn, from Finchingfield, Essex.

Thank you to all those who attended, and all the staff and friends who helped to organise this successful event.

Suzuki GSX-R1000K7 Update

In anticipation of our launch event, to be held on the 24th February 2007 for the NEW GSX-R1000K7, we can now give you some more exclusive product information to whet your appetite.

This 2007 model is packed with new features and benefits that will again set the standard for the Superbike class.

The K7 model now produces 185ps at 12,000 rpm compared to the K6
(178ps at 11,000 rpm), due to a number of engine modifications.

The main NEW features of this model include:
1. Selectable 3-way power mode (Mode A, B, C)

Mode A – To make best use of engine performance throughout the throttle range, the engine characteristic has been set for a sharp response to throttle

Mode B – Allowing the same maximum output as “Mode A”, the engine response to throttle operation is slightly milder than “Mode A”.

Mode C – This restricts power throughout the engine range and provides a soft response to throttle operation. This mode is convenient for relaxed riding, long touring and riding in slippery conditions.

Free TPF&T Insurance on Suzuki Bandit GSF650 K6 Range

Suzuki have announced free Third Party Fire & Theft insurance is now available to all K6 Bandit 650 derivatives, in conjunction with Suzuki’s partner, Express Insurance, running from now until the 31st March 2007.

Covering both faired and naked models, the promotion offers even greater choice.

The Bandit 650 range starts at £4,299 on the road and the models applicable in the promotion are: Bandit 650, Bandit 650S, Street Bandit 650S.

To qualify for the free TPF&T insurance, motorcycles must be privately registered between 13th January and 31st March 2007, which makes these models a cost effective solution to year-round riding.

YZF-R1 Launch event 19/01/2007

The new model YZF-R1 was successfully launched on Friday evening in front of a packed showroom, full of specially invited customers. With the amount of interest shown for this stunning bike, demand will be high, to avoid disappointment, place an order today.

At 8pm the call was made by Yamaha UK, and congratulations were given to Adrian Green, the lucky winner of a new 2007 YZF-R1! Adrian was a very happy man, having won the R1, Dainese made Yamaha race leathers plus a special VIP trip to the Spanish GP and riding experience with the Yamaha GP stars!

£160 was raised on the night from a John Pease raffle that took place. All proceeds will go to the Essex Air Ambulance.
